Cooking of Savaiya (Vermicelli) with AEVO!

Vermicelli is a popular Indian dessert made from vermicelli, typically cooked with milk and a generous amount of dry fruits. This dessert, often referred to as Sevai, is especially prepared during the festival of Eid but can also be enjoyed after any meal. The preparation is simple and quick, making it a favorite for festive occasions and everyday indulgence.

Ingredients for Vermicelli:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 100 grams vermicelli
  • 25 grams cashew nuts
  • 25 grams almonds
  • 25 grams raisins
  • 600 ml milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 cardamoms
  • A pinch of saffron

Method of Vermicelli Making:

  • Fry the Vermicelli: Melt the butter in a pan and fry the vermicelli until golden brown.
  • Add Dry Fruits: Add the cashew nuts, almonds, and raisins to the pan and fry them along with the vermicelli.
  • Prepare the Milk: In another pan, add the sugar and cardamoms to the milk and bring it to a boil.
  • Combine Ingredients: Add the fried vermicelli and nuts to the boiling milk. Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Adjust Consistency: If needed, add more milk to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Serve: Serve the vermicelli dessert hot.

Recipe Note:
For an additional touch of fragrance, you can add a little rose water to the dessert. Enjoy your delicious vermicelli dessert!
