Garlic Sautéed Spinach with Organic AEVO Avocado Oil

Ingredients: -

Fresh Spinach: - 10 ounces (about 280 grams), washed and drained

Organic AEVO Avocado Oil: - 2 tablespoons

Garlic: - 4 cloves, minced (adjust to taste)

Salt: - ½ teaspoon (or to taste)

Black Pepper: - ¼ teaspoon (or to taste)

Lemon Juice: - 1 tablespoon (optional, for serving)

Red Pepper Flakes: - a pinch (optional, for added spice)

Instructions: -

1. Preparation: -

Begin by washing the fresh spinach thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or grit.        Drain well and set aside.

2. Heating the Oil: -

In a large skillet or sauté pan, heat the organic AEVO avocado oil over medium heat. Allow the oil to warm up for about 1-2 minutes.

3. Sautéing the Garlic: -

Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until it becomes fragrant and just starts to turn golden brown. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can become bitter.

4. Adding the Spinach: -

Immediately add the washed and drained spinach to the skillet. It may seem like a lot at first, but spinach wilts significantly as it cooks. Stir the spinach gently to coat it with the garlic and oil.

5. Cooking the Spinach: -

Continue to sauté the spinach for about 2-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the spinach is wilted and tender. Season with salt and black pepper during cooking to enhance the flavor.

6. Finishing Touches: -

If desired, remove the skillet from the heat and drizzle with lemon juice for a fresh flavor. For a little heat, sprinkle in a pinch of red pepper flakes.

7. Serving: -

Transfer the sautéed spinach to a serving dish. Enjoy it warm as a delicious side dish or as part of a larger meal.
